KUALA LAMPUR: Pakistan U19 is set to kick off their campaign in the inaugural ACC Women’s U19 T20 Asia Cup on Sunday, facing India at the Bayuemas Cricket Oval.

Led by Zoofishan Ayyaz, Pakistan will play their second match of the tournament against Nepal on Monday, 16 December.

Reflecting on their preparation, the Pakistan skipper said, “We had good training sessions before our arrival here in Malaysia, and the players are looking forward to performing well in the tournament.”

“We will take one game at a time, and the players are fully focused on showcasing their talent in the tournament,” he added.

Meanwhile, the six-team tournament will be played in a T20 format, with the top two sides from each group progressing to the Super-Four stage.

The Super-Four stage matches will be played on 19 and 20 December, while the final is scheduled for 22 December.

According to the tournament’s format, additional matches for fifth and sixth positions, as well as third and fourth positions, will be played on 18 and 22 December, respectively.

The women in green had a five-day camp at the Hanif Mohammad High-Performance Centre in Karachi.

Alongside Pakistan, India and Nepal are placed in Group A, while Group B features Bangladesh, Malaysia, and Sri Lanka.
